RFID technology is not new. The first anti-theft chip was already in shops 50 years ago. However, RFID is only just breaking through in logistics chains. Dalosy works with Zebra Technologies to supply and support RFID scanners, handheld readers and printers.
What is RFID?
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a method of reading and storing data remotely via radio signals. An RFID system consists of a tiny tag (RFID tag) and a reader (RFID scanner). RFID tags are produced in different forms and can be attached to goods, vehicles, animals or persons. Therefore, RFID can be used for all kinds of applications.
The RFID scanner usually consists of an antenna and a reader. The antenna emits a radio field and receives back radio signals from the RFID tag. The reader ‘reads’ the radio signals coming from the antenna and converts them into data. Because of the radio signals, the RFID scanner can read the tags much faster than a barcode scanner. Also, you can use an RFID scanner entire pallets, carts or even a shopping cart at once scanning. With RFID you can work more efficiently, increase productivity and save costs!
The right RFID equipment

From what distance should the scanner be able to read the tag? Where will the RFID tag be placed? In metal, liquid, plastic, textile or something else? Do you only need RFID equipment temporarily?
